On Australia Day we should all be pulling together, but some misfits would use Australia Day to try and pull us apart.
If you ask me, the continuing attack on Australia Day, which we have seen over the past couple of years, has got to stop. This is OUR national day. It is meant to unite all Australians and to allow us to celebrate our country, our lifestyle, our people, our multiculturalism and our freedom. Yet, in recent years, there has been a growing trend, within the lunatic fringe, to attack, ridicule and denigrate our national day. To those disloyal, dishonest and unpatriotic people, I say “Hands off Australia Day!”
The divisive and antagonistic notion that Australia Day should be renamed Invasion Day, has got to stop and all loyal and true Australians need to fight this madness. Australia was not invaded, it was colonised. It is true that this has not always been of benefit to the Aboriginal people but, overall, it is hard to describe the change in Aboriginal living standards, education, medicine, technology and general lifestyle, following colonisation, as always negative. Further, the misdeeds of SOME of our forefathers, both European AND Aboriginal, are in the past and no living Australian should be held accountable for those misdeeds. We should learn from them but not use them to perpetrate and continue division. I would also ask that, had Europeans not discovered Australia, where would the Aboriginal people be today? After 40,000 years of little, or no, advancement at the time of colonisation, my guess would be that they would still be living in the Stone Age or, more likely, colonised by one of our less ‘sympathetic’ Asian neighbours.
In regards to this notion of invasion, as opposed to colonisation, let me ask this question; Name a single country, on the entire face of this planet, which is still populated, solely, by the original inhabitants? The answer is, quite simply, that there is not such place. So get over this ‘invasion versus colonisation’ nonsense and learn to appreciate how great Australia is. If you really want to see an improvement in the lives of our Aboriginals, and who wouldn’t want to see that as, after all, they are Australians too, then the way to do it is by working together instead of drawing battle-lines and dividing the nation. You have a choice; work together for the good of all Australians or tear us apart to the detriment of all. Hands off our Australia Day!
What is with these anti-Australia Day, anti-Australian flag people? This country needs to pull together, to unite under a common theme, a common symbol, which the flag and our national day most certainly are. Instead, these people would pull apart our national identity, destroy our national cohesion and doom us to a dysfunctional and dangerous future. They should be looking at the problems and carnage created by their overseas ‘cousins’, in the anti-Trump movement, the Black Lives Matter movement and a host of other dissenting and dangerous organisations, and see the results of their misguided actions as a warning, not an example to follow. Hands off Australia Day.
These people claim to want to end racism, bigotry, division but, instead, they are promoting those very problems. If we allow the anti-Australian crowd to gain any more support, to achieve any of their twisted goals, then we are paving the way for further erosion of our Australian culture, our freedoms and our peaceful coexistence. These people are a threat to our way of life, not as much of a threat as Islamic extremism is a threat, but they are a serious threat, nonetheless. They are not part of the solution, but they most definitely are part of the problem.
Accordingly, any deliberate disruption of Australia day events should be considered a criminal act. Any burning of our national symbol, the Australian flag, should be a criminal act. Any written or vocal incitement towards disruption, violent protest or aggression, on Australia Day, should be a criminal act. Hands off our Australia Day!
The fact that the Australian Greens are supporting and encouraging the disruption of Australia Day events, and the burning of our national symbol, should send warning alarms to all patriotic and peace loving Australians. While the Greens, who are calling for this action, are an extreme left-wing faction, the fact that the leader of the Greens, Richard Di Natale, will not reign them in, nor condemn their actions, clearly states that the entire Greens party supports this treasonous attitude. I have never understood how anyone could vote for the Greens, as their policies and views are at odds with logic and freedom, but after this, surely the Greens will be finished as a political movement in this country? A vote for the Greens is a vote for anarchy and treason. Hands of our Australia Day!

Richard Di Natale, ‘leader’ of the Australian Greens party who have demonstrated their anti-Australian and treasonous attitudes by promoting disharmony and flag burning on Australia Day!
Now, having had my rant, I would like to wish all real Australians, whether they be of European descent, Aboriginal, Asian, Middle Eastern or from any other ethnic group, a very happy Australia Day. Further, I ask you to reflect on the benefits of living in the ‘lucky country’ and that, while things are not perfect, together we can work towards making our country near-perfect. Together, united under the Australian flag, we can make Australia an even better place to live and raise our families!
Happy Australia Day to all.
Australia day has always included every Australian regardless of ethnic origin, all this complaining about Australia day achieves is to divide everyone. The best way I think to deal with these traitors is to just ignore them and their virtue signaling and have a nice Australia day.
As for the Aboriginals, many condemn taking away their children and I agree to a point. It was wrong to take them away but at least they got a proper education and were given the tools to function in our society, which they were not getting at that point.
On a final thought, I wish everyone a wonderful Australia day and as for the traitors, take a long look at yourself!
P.S Fuck the Greens!!
It will always be Australia day for us as I cant change what happened 200 years ago,,,tell the aborigines to calm down and move on,,,you wont be able to change anything that happened 200 yrs ago,,,,Rudd said sorry,,,,,that I had nothing to do with,,,,
Absolutely correct. None of us were alive when the bad deeds of the past occurred and there were bad deeds by Europeans and Aboriginals. All of us now need to move on and learn from the past without dwelling in the past. All ‘victim cards’ should now be null and void.
