The Gun Control Deception Continues…

The debate continues over the Adler 7-shot shotgun.

The Adler 7-shot shotgun is at the centre of an attempt, by the anti-gun movement, to alter Australia’s gun laws through deception.

If you ask me, the news that the Federal and State Governments may agree to put the Adler 7-shot shotgun into Category D is extremely worrying and totally wrong. If this comes to pass, then this is just a continuation of the unsavoury policy of creating gun control by deception.

Placing the Adler 7-shot into Category D is worrying because, if this happens, then it will be the result of the manipulation of the system, by political extremist groups (GCA and The Greens) through the use of outright lies, fabrications and fear-mongering.

If the 7-shot Adler is moved to Category D, then the anti-gun movement will have effected a change to the NFA and our gun laws based upon nothing more than a campaign of gross dishonesty.

If they can so easily manipulate the laws and our politicians in this manner, what is next?

This quote by Adolf Hitler reflects the tactics of the anti-gun movement.

Gun control advocates never deal in truth or reason, it is as if they are students of Adolf Hitler and his views on how to manipulate the people.

It is also extremely worrying that our so-called leaders have been so easily duped by the anti-gun crowd. The State Ministers, the Police Ministers and the Prime Minister should have enough intelligence to be able to see the truth of the situation and enough courage to stand firm on their claimed support for the NFA, instead of just caving in to the anti-gun fanatics. All politicians, like Mike Baird and Malcolm Turnbull to name just two, need to wake up and start making decisions based upon fact rather than fantasy.

Here are some of those facts as they relate to this matter:

  • The National Firearms Agreement (NFA), that the ministers purport to defend, already allows for the ownership of lever action shotguns under Category A,
  • The NFA has already set the maximum magazine capacity for centrefire rifles and semi-auto pistols at ten (10) rounds and the Adler has a capacity of only seven (7) so the magazine capacity, of the Adler, is actually of no real significance,
  • The Adler in not new technology but simply a modern looking version of a 130 year old design,
  • Every claim, that the anti-gun movement has made about the Adler is false – the Adler is NOT some sort of rapid-fire, death machine as claimed by the anti-gun zealots. Nor is it a ‘terrorist’s wet dream’. Indeed, it is hard to imagine that any terrorist, or criminal, would choose such a firearm over a host of illegal and more lethal weapons that are already available on the black-market, and
  • The Adler is only available to licensed, vetted and law-abiding citizens whose credentials have been proven by the licensing process – which is a lot more than can be said for many members of the anti-gun movement and some politicians.

The claim that moving the Adler 7-shot to Category D is to prevent our gun laws from being watered down, and to preserve the intent of the NFA, is simply not true. By making this decision, our so-called leaders are, in fact, butchering the NFA in a manner that threatens the ownership of many other lever action firearms. These lever action firearms have been legally owned, by law abiding citizens, for the past 130 years with no recorded instances of them being used in crime.

Further to this discussion, I would like to ask our elected, and non-elected, ‘leaders’ the following questions:

  • Does the Prime Minister, the Premiers and the Police Ministers wish to go on record as being so easily duped by the anti-gun crowd?
  • Are they so ill-informed that they do not understand the NFA that they so religiously defend?
  • Are they so gutless that they cannot stand against the lies and falsehoods of the anti-gun zealots and the biased anti-gun segments of the media?
  • Do they think that Australians will re-elect such shallow and easily fooled leaders?

Under the NFA, which politicians, anti-gun groups and the media keep telling us is so good and can’t be violated, the Adler 7-shot shotgun is already a Category A firearm and it should remain so.

If the 7 shot Adler is moved to category D, whats to stop them moving the 5 shot version to category D as well?

At that point how could they be stopped moving all lever action shotguns to category D? Where does it end?

That is precisely the problem. If they can make changes like this, based upon lies and scare-mongering, what else can they change and what else will they ban without proper consideration and valid reasons.

That’s a good question. When you consider that the Adler is made in Turkey, which is an Islamic country, and Turkey shares borders with Syria, Iraq and Iran. These three countries are all Islamic hotspots and home to a host of extremists. terrorists and their sponsors. If the Adler was such an ideal terrorist weapon, then why are they not in the hands of terrorists in that part of the world? If would be extremely easy for the Adler to cross the border into these terrorist hotbeds.
